Western Dental is a registered provider of The Treatment Benefit Scheme, which entitles PRSI workers to claim a free oral examination once a calendar year, as well as a subsidised scale & polish (cleaning) or gum treatment for €15-30.
The Treatment Benefit Scheme is run by the Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection. It provides dental benefit to insured workers, the self-employed and retired people who have the required number of PRSI Contributions (class A, E, P, H or S).
To check if you qualify for treatment, contact us by email at firstname.lastname@example.org and you will need to provide the following details:
- Personal Public Service (PPS) Number
- Date of birth
Patients 16 years or older with a full medical card in their name, not a GP card, are covered for one free checkup per calendar year and two free fillings per calendar year. Additionally, they are covered for unlimited extractions. White fillings on back teeth are not covered on the medical card.
There is currently a limited scheme operated for 14-16-year-old children with a Mayo address. To be covered by this scheme prior approval needs to be got from the County Clinic in Castlebar, tel 094 9042250
Tax relief for a very limited number of treatments and they are marked with an asterisk on our Prices Page
